Girly Girl, Female

Girly showed up at the shelter with her mom, Belle. She's about a year old now and has always lived in the office. She's very friendly and gets along well with cats and people.

Greta, Female

Greta started life as an abandoned kitten forced to make her own way in a densely wooded area behind an apartment complex. One day an elderly gentleman moved into the apartment complex and saw Greta emerging from the woods in search of food. Being a cat lover, he began to feed her and after a while won her trust. Eventually she joined his household together with two other cats. Until one night when a strange odor began to fill the apartment. Minutes later, the doors flew open and firemen began to spray water in any direction. Greta hid in a corner while the other cats ran for the open door. In all the confusion, someone spotted her and put her in a box and carried her into safety. Days passed as she sat in a cage somewhere very unfamiliar. She terribly missed the old man and wondered where he was. After what seemed forever she heard his voice. A woman was trying to talk him into leaving Greta as he had no place to live and no money. Reluctantly, he looked back at Greta, and it would be the last time she saw him. Greta joined many other cats at the SpayMart shelter which has now been her home now for three years. She misses her elderly owner, but even more, the blessings of a home and a family.
