Lady Jane, DLH, Black and White, Female
There was once a lovely girl who almost became a queen.
She was very pretty and gentle and sweet and loved her
guardian of some seven years very much. But one day,
this guardian, for reasons beyond a cat's control, decided
to hand her over to those who executed even the prettiest,
gentlest, sweetest, and most loving royals and abandoned
her at a grim place called "animal control."

bitter wind began to blow. The skies filled with dark,
ugly clouds. In a little while, snow began to fall,
filling the streets of New Orleans with white

Fingers of biting cold seeped through the windows and
doors. Before you could say "Merry Christmas,"
the brutal wind and the freezing snow had turned the
inside of that house to an icebox! (The unfeeling Grinch
had not turned on the heater). Christmas was certainly
not coming to the cats. Or to a little rabbit that was
wandering upstairs....
