Miko, DSH Brown Tabby, 7 years
MIKO was rescued from a low-rent motel in a bad part
of town
from one short-term abode to another. The
owner trapped her siblings and took them to the pound,
but Miko was the last to be caught, and we took her
in. Maybe she was the last one for a reasonand
you could be it! She's around seven years old, with
unusual tabby markings and a left ear tip. Her dark
coat is very silky, and she knows you want to stroke
it, but she waits for you to approach her. Miko has
spent too many years in a shelter settingit's
better than a motel, but she deserves a permanent home
with people who'll make her part of the family. Miko
has been vaccinated, microchipped, & tested for
feline leukemia & FIV. Her $85 adoption fee will
include a voucher to have her spayed.

Midnight, DSH Black, Male, 5 years
MIDNIGHT AND JOE
I know that there are a lot of black cats around named
Midnight, but it really is quite an appropriate name
for me.
You see, for a long time the dangerous street was the
only home I had. I learned to wait till dark to roam
around looking for food, because it was the safest way
for a homeless cat to stay alive out there, let me tell
you. And thank goodness I was born in a town with a
great nightlife! People were plentiful and so was their
food.
Right after my mom told me to hit the road, I mastered
the art of begging and I was quite charming at it, I
must say. It was the only way to fill an empty stomach.
Anyway, I certainly met some downright extraordinary
characters that way.
My all time favorite was an old bus driver named Joe.
I really loved that guy...

Muffin, DSH Calico with white paws, Female, 5 years
I should really report this to the PGA. And to a pro
bono lawyer, because I believe that the American Disabilities
Act has been grossly violated in my case. I'm not really
cut out for suing people, though. I'm a very sweet and
quiet girl. I just get very sad and upset when I think
how some people have treated me.
I can't help it that I am hearing impaired. Severely
so. Sudden movements or changes startle me, because
I'm totally deaf. That's why I thought I'd join a New
Orleans country club to soothe my jangled nerves with
calm games of golf. Not that I actually play the game.
I just like to watch...
