Hello, my name is Zorro.  Life sure is full of surprises and twists and turns.  I would never have dreamed I’d end up at a shelter in Mississippi.  Lucky for me I know four of my family members would love to be here, but unfortunately, they have gone forever.  You see we all (that’s all 8 of us) lived with an elderly lady in a shot gun house in the garden district of New Orleans.  We weren’t rich, but we never went without food or love.  Until one day, she didn’t serve us breakfast.  By lunch we were getting a little worried and when no dinner appeared we were down right hungry.  We all went to bed, convinced that tomorrow would be a better day.  Well, it wasn’t.  And neither was the following or the next day and the next after that.  We never saw our caretaker again.  We were taken to a veterinary office for evaluation.  We were all very dehydrated and covered in fleas.  That was particularly bad for me because I’m allergic to fleas.  You should see my back when just one bites me.  It’s just one big scab after another.  The SpayMart shelter took us all in.  My two sisters have been adopted and so has Charlie.  Just me left.  I’ll admit, their markings are a bit more interesting than mine, but they’re not nearly as loving as me.  I’m just a big old Pussy Cat that happens to have a flea allergy.  That’s why it’s important I empress somebody quick and go to my forever home.  However, it can’t be with dogs. I may be a little more trouble but I promise I’m worth it.  You’ll see!
